No sooner than Max Muncy exited Friday night’s game with a side issue, the Dodgers had to remove Cody Bellinger after an RBI single in the 5th inning. Bellinger missed most of the first two months of the season with a small fracture in his left leg, so immediately the hearts of fans dropped assuming the outfielder aggravated that injury.
Thankfully, Cody revealed what was affecting him as he walked off the field.
Cody Bellinger said “cramp” as he was walking off the field, as was audible on the SNLA broadcast. https://t.co/P4wGFrFWzL

With all the injuries the Dodgers have endured so far in 2021, it’s understandable to immediately assume the worst when a player comes up limping. But this being just a cramp, the boys in blue should have dodged a bullet.
Bellinger was 2-3 with a walk and a run batted in through the first 5 innings of play at Dodger Stadium. He exited with LA up 12-0. Mookie Betts took over in center field for Cody with pinch runner Zach McKinstry staying in the game and playing right.
